Hello,
So i have designed a BRAM and compiled it from generated verilog file, I am trying to synthesize it on xilinx 14.7 (for vertex 5) and xilinx is giving error "XST678: cannot evaluate constant" for the line :-

reg [DATA_WIDTH-1:0] RAM[0:MEMSIZE-1];

in BRAM1.v

any idead about that.

Thanks,
Gagan

I have not seen this before, sorry. Perhaps the instantiation is providing an invalid parameter? Are you able to share the design, so that I can try to reproduce the problem here?
