Hi,

I've just created a syntax coloring template of BSV for Gedit (the default text editor of Gnome) that makes my life easier and happier.

Just copy it to /usr/share/gtlsourceview-2.0/language-specs/, Gedit should automatically highlight the code of .bsv files.

For those who are using gtksourceview-3.0, a change must me made, since the syntax of comments on C language has changed:

Locate those two lines below:
<context ref="c:comment"/>
<context ref="c:comment-multiline"/>

Change for:
<context ref="def:c-like-comment"/>
<context ref="def:c-like-comment-multiline"/>

I have found those two lines in the file /usr/share/gtksourceview-3.0/language-specs/c.lang

Good programming!

Hi,

Thanks for sharing but the syntax highlighting dosen't seem to work for me. Btw, I'm using gtksourceview-2.0 and have included the suggested tweakings by comododragon.

Help anyone? Otherwise, I'm stuck with Haskell highlighting =P

my suggested tweakings are only for those who are using gtksourceview-3.0, which doesn't seems to be your case. Did you removed the last extension from the file (.txt)?

If you are still using gtksourcevie 2 and the previous file is not working here is another possibility.
