I ran some simulations today, and found out that the licenses for "BlueSeat" are not checked in even after I am done:
...
16:00:18 (BLUESPEC) OUT: "BlueSeat" [email protected]
16:00:18 (BLUESPEC) OUT: "BlueSeat" [email protected]
16:00:18 (BLUESPEC) OUT: "BlueSeat" [email protected]
16:00:18 (BLUESPEC) OUT: "BlueSeat" [email protected]
16:00:18 (BLUESPEC) OUT: "BlueSeat" [email protected]
...
Now I can not checkout any more "BlueSeat" license, though this does not seem to have any effect on the design I am compiling.

16:05:44 (BLUESPEC) OUT: "BCOMPSeat" [email protected]
16:05:44 (BLUESPEC) DENIED: "BlueSeat" [email protected] (Licensed number of users already reached. (-4,342))
16:05:44 (BLUESPEC) IN: "BCOMPSeat" [email protected]
16:05:44 (BLUESPEC) OUT: "BCOMP" [email protected]
16:05:44 (BLUESPEC) IN: "BCOMP" [email protected]

I would like to know what is "BlueSeat", and how can I checkin the licenses back. I do not see any bluespec related process running on my machine. I even tried restarting the license server, but the license are checked out as soon as the server comes up.

Amey -

There are two different basic types of license:

* A shared, time-based license, which can only support a single compile at a time but can be shared across a location, region or WWAN location
* A Developer Seat, which is a license that is per engineer using the toolset (the engineer can change, but it can only change on roughly a 24-hour basis)

BlueSeat is license type that is associated with a Developer Seat.

These two different license types are priced at different price levels, as a shared license can be used by many more people.
