Hi All!! I am new to BSV. Smile
I am trying to make a CPU with BSV. How to handle Double Precision Floating Point Operations(say multiplication) with BSV ?
The floating point numbers should be adhering to the IEEE-754 standard. Please help!

Hi Shivansh,

Bluespec nor Verilog directly support 64-bit IEEE real numbers.

With Bluespec, you can create a new package with appropriate types and functions to implement the IEEE-754 standard. Native overloading within BSV also allow you yo define the * operator for your these Floating point type. You will want to review the Real package before you begin.

Good Luck,
